Multiple US news outlets confirmed on Sunday that Spears had checked herself into a treatment facility, although the exact date of her admission was not immediately disclosed.

Spears is scheduled to appear in court on May 4 to face charges related to her DUI arrest, according to the Los Angeles Times.
