Plateau State Eases Nighttime Restrictions in Jos North Following Period of Stability
The Plateau State Government has eased the 48-hour curfew in Jos North Local Government Area, where a violent attack recently occurred in Angwan Rukuba, in response to the area's return to relative calm after the incident that resulted in 28 fatalities.
nThe new curfew schedule, set to take effect on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, will be in place daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., allowing residents to engage in lawful activities during these hours.
nCommissioner for Information and Communication Joyce Ramnap announced the updated curfew in a statement, also urging citizens to remain calm and vigilant while security agencies continue to monitor the situation to maintain peace and order.
nThe government expressed appreciation for the public's cooperation and resilience during this period, reaffirming its commitment to protecting lives and property throughout the state, as stated in the announcement.
