Peter Obi donates ₦30m to Paul University, urges students to prioritise education

nThe presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr. Peter Obi, has donated ₦30 million to Paul University, Awka, in support of the institution’s development.
nObi was received during the visit by the university’s proprietor, Archbishop Alexander Ibezim, who expressed appreciation for the donation, describing it as a significant boost to the school’s infrastructure and academic programmes.
nThe Archbishop assured that the funds would be judiciously utilised for projects that would directly benefit both students and the institution.
nSpeaking at the event, Obi commended the steady progress of the university, noting that each visit reveals visible improvements in its facilities and academic environment.
nHe also urged students to remain focused on their studies, stressing that education remains the most reliable pathway to personal growth and national development.
nIn her remarks, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna, described Obi as a consistent supporter of the university. She thanked him for his continued generosity and commitment to the institution’s growth, noting that his contributions have made a meaningful impact.
