Panic grips Kogi Polytechnic as instructor collapses and dies during lecture

Mourning has once again descended upon the Kogi State Polytechnic community, following the sudden and tragic demise of lecturer Mr. Anslem Ojodomo, as reported by Boluwaji Obahopo.

The passing of Mr. Ojodomo occurs merely a month after the death of another lecturer, Dr. Barnabas Akuba, who succumbed in February shortly after completing his PhD programme.

According to eyewitnesses, Ojodomo's life was cut short on Thursday while he was delivering a lecture to his students, as he suddenly collapsed and died.

A source within the school revealed that the incident transpired during a classroom session, where the lecturer suddenly slumped while addressing the students, throwing the entire class into a state of confusion and panic.

Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention, Ojodomo was later confirmed dead, as efforts by medical personnel to save his life proved unsuccessful.

Within the institution, sources have disclosed that a sense of apprehension now pervades the school community, as Anslem's death marks the third in a span of six weeks since the new Rector, Prof. Salihu Sanusi, assumed office on February 11.

A staff member expressed concern that both Anslem and Barnabas died after defending their PhD thesis, stating that Anslem was in a meeting just hours prior to the lecture, and it is unfathomable that a man who was full of life is now deceased.

The management of the Kogi State Polytechnic had yet to issue a statement on the incident as of press time.
