Oyo lawmaker pledges to rally a million supporters for Tinubu, announces run for senate seat

Rep. Remi Oseni, representing Ibarapa East/Ido on the APC ticket, has made a commitment to mobilize one million votes in Oyo State for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, a pledge he made on Saturday in Ibadan.

Oseni also announced his intention to run for the Oyo South Senatorial seat, stating that his senate bid would serve to strengthen President Tinubu's support base in the state, with the goal of ensuring the president's return to office.

According to Oseni, his decision to run for the senate is rooted in his desire to consolidate grassroots support for President Tinubu's re-election, emphasizing the importance of Oyo State playing a decisive role in the president's return to power.

Oseni noted that President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda aligns with the vision and aspirations of his group, the "Remi Oseni Community of Friends" (ROKOF), a movement focused on grassroots transformation.

He pointed out that ROKOF has established a presence in all 33 local government areas in the state, making the target of delivering one million votes for the president a more realistic goal.

The mission of the ROKOF support group, as outlined by Oseni, is to rally support for President Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027 and to assist the APC in regaining power in the state.

ROKOF also seeks to provide a platform for youth, women, and professionals to participate in politics and to empower its members to win elective positions in 2027, according to Oseni.

Oseni reaffirmed his commitment and loyalty to President Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda, stating that they remain unwavering and non-negotiable.

He declared that the re-election of President Tinubu is his top priority ahead of the 2027 general election, and that he is fully committed to mobilizing support across all segments of society to ensure the president's re-election.

As a member of the House of Representatives, Oseni said he has served as a bridge of hope for the people of Oyo State, working across religious, tribal, and social divides.

Oseni highlighted his achievements as a member of the House of Representatives, including advocating for policies, raising motions, facilitating federal projects, and contributing to debates that serve the interests of the people.

He emphasized that he has been an active and vocal advocate in the National Assembly, championing progressive ideas and contributing to relevant motions.

Oseni stated that his goal in running for the Oyo South Senatorial election in 2027 is to promote justice, improve education, create jobs, and provide healthcare for all, as well as to empower youths and women through entrepreneurship and development.

For Oseni, politics is not about personal gain, but about service, sacrifice, and creating a better society for everyone, a conviction he has held since the beginning of his political journey in 2018.

He emphasized that his mission in life is to utilize his resources and talents to make life more meaningful and enjoyable for ordinary citizens, and that he is prepared to continue serving the people.

Sen. Sharafadeen Alli, the current senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, endorsed Oseni as the best candidate to represent the district in 2027, citing his impressive performance as a representative of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.

Alli, who is also an APC governorship aspirant in Oyo State for the 2027 election, called for massive support for President Bola Tinubu and urged APC members in the state to work together to reclaim government for the party.
