Oyebamiji assures Osun Muslim community of restored security for everyone

Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the August 15 poll, has made a promise to residents of the state, vowing to create a safe environment that fosters business growth and prosperity for citizens.

During an interactive session at the Osun State Muslim community Secretariat in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyebamiji reflected on the state's founding fathers, who prioritized the collective well-being of all citizens, never intending for divisions along religious lines to arise.

Oyebamiji has assembled a team to identify key areas that require intervention across various sectors, including education, healthcare delivery, power generation, agriculture, and workers' welfare, aiming to drive the state's economy forward.

He emphasized that his decision to run for the governorship seat was a deliberate and intentional one, stating that his team has been tasked with examining different sectors to implement immediate interventions, particularly in areas such as power generation, education, and healthcare delivery.

Oyebamiji also pledged to ensure fair and equitable distribution of resources across the state's towns, unlike the current administration, and expressed his commitment to peace before, during, and after the election, vowing to ensure a free, fair, and credible poll.

Reiterating his devotion to Allah, Oyebamiji, a self-proclaimed bona fide Muslim, expressed confidence in his faith, stating that he is certain of emerging victorious on August 15th, 2026.

Alhaji Mustapha Olawuyi, President of the Osun State Muslim Community, welcomed Oyebamiji and his entourage, acknowledging Oyebamiji's dedication to Islam, Muslims, and humanity, and noting that Oyebamiji has been a part of the community since its inception.

Alhaji Olawuyi praised Oyebamiji's commitment to the Muslim community and urged him to be fair to all citizens if elected as Governor, highlighting Oyebamiji's significant contributions to the propagation of Islam and humanity.

Alhaji Olawuyi emphasized that the Islamic body is non-partisan and focused on promoting humanity and the faith, and has presented Oyebamiji with requests, including the need for the incoming government to prioritize equity and justice in resource distribution and recognize Islamic law.
