Otti building future leaders, not just infrastructure — Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has described the Abia Leadership Academy as one of Governor Alex Otti’s most strategic initiatives, saying it is laying a solid foundation for the emergence of a new generation of principled and transformational leaders.

Ajagba stated this while delivering a lecture titled “The Demands of Stewardship” to participants of Cohort Three of the Abia Leadership Academy at Government College, Umuahia.

He commended Governor Otti for investing in the character, values and leadership capacity of teenagers and young people, describing the academy as a visionary initiative that would shape the future of the state beyond the lifespan of the current administration.

According to him, the academy reflects the governor’s commitment to purposeful leadership and sustainable development by deliberately preparing young people to embrace integrity, discipline, accountability, excellence and selfless service.

“It is an honour for those invited to contribute to this noble vision of raising a generation of principled, disciplined and transformational leaders for Abia State,” Ajagba said.

He noted that Governor Otti’s leadership qualities, including vision, focus, sacrifice, competence and integrity, continue to inspire young people in Abia and beyond.

Ajagba said the governor’s leadership style provides practical lessons that extend beyond the classroom and offers a model for grooming future leaders committed to service.

Describing the academy as a strategic investment in the state’s future, he said the initiative would leave a lasting legacy by strengthening the character, mindset and leadership capacity of future generations.

“By intentionally preparing young people for responsible leadership, Governor Otti is laying a firm foundation for sustainable development and ensuring that the ideals of integrity, innovation and public service remain deeply rooted in Abia’s future,” he said.

The Chief of Staff also prayed for divine wisdom, good health and renewed strength for Governor Otti as he continues to lead the state.
