Osun poll: Adeleke and Accord party pulling ahead with a significant margin, says Imole campaign team

Governor Ademola Adeleke has called upon the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to adhere to President Bola Tinubu's instruction, emphasizing the need for a transparent and fair electoral process.

The Imole Campaign Council, in a recent statement, affirmed that the Accord Party and Governor Adeleke are currently ahead in the Osun governorship election held on Saturday.

According to ICC spokesperson Pelumi Olajengbesi, the council is confident in its lead and wishes to reassure supporters and the people of Osun State of this development.

Olajengbesi urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to maintain electoral integrity and uphold democratic principles, while also rejecting any potential manipulation by the APC.

The ICC spokesperson also cautioned security agencies to remain impartial and professional, avoiding any involvement in rigging during the collation process at the ward and local government levels.

Furthermore, the council appealed to civil society organizations and democracy advocates to closely monitor the electoral process until its conclusion, and to reject any attempts by the APC to manipulate the results through "nocturnal magic" or fabricated votes.
