Orji Kalu and Okezie Ikpeazu's brother allege Tinubu appointed them to lead Abia's APC chapter

Benjamin Okezie Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Senator Orji Kalu, the former Abia State governor, have revealed that President Bola Tinubu has instructed them to oversee the All Progressives Congress in the state.

Abia State is currently led by Dr. Alex Otti, a member of the Labour Party, which implies that the highest-ranking political office holders, such as the Deputy Speaker, will manage the state's affairs, according to Okezie Kalu.

Senator Orji Kalu has expressed his commitment to collaborating with all stakeholders in line with the President's directive, stating that as the most senior governor in the state, he is dedicated to working closely with others.

Both Okezie Kalu and Orji Kalu released statements on their official Facebook handles at the same time, detailing their discussions with President Tinubu.

Okezie Kalu's statement expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting him with the responsibility of managing the party's affairs in Abia State, where there is no APC governor.

In his statement, Okezie Kalu also thanked the President for reaffirming the importance of the party's model, which has united the party and brought success in the past.
