Obi contributes ₦10m to Ehime General Hospital, urges increased backing for healthcare industry

Mr. Peter Obi recently made a donation of ₦10 million to Ehime General Hospital in Ehime Mbano, aiming to bolster the hospital's ability to provide top-notch healthcare services, during a visit to the facility.

The Most Rev. David Okechukwu Chikezie Onuoha, accompanied by fellow clergy and hospital management members, extended a warm welcome to Obi, acknowledging his dedication to critical sectors such as health and education.

The Archbishop praised Obi's selfless and impactful interventions in these areas, highlighting the positive effects of his consistent support for vital sectors like health and education.

Ehime General Hospital, now under the management of the Diocese, is undergoing renovations, with plans to establish a nursing school on the premises, which will enhance healthcare training and services in the region.

The Diocese is set to oversee the facility, ensuring more efficient management and improved services for the community, as part of its role in managing the hospital.

During his visit, Obi stressed that investing in healthcare and education is crucial for national development, emphasizing that a healthy and educated population is essential for a productive society.
