Obasa meets with First Lady, vows to back Renewed Hope Initiative

He took the opportunity to commend Mrs. Tinubu for organizing an interfaith breaking of the Ramadan and Lent fast for women, a gesture that underscored her dedication to fostering unity and cooperation.

Obasa described the First Lady's role in the President Bola Tinubu-led administration as invaluable, particularly in terms of expanding the benefits of the Renewed Hope Agenda to the grassroots level.

During his visit, Obasa explained that he had come to pay his respects to the First Lady during the coinciding periods of Ramadan and Lent, acknowledging her as a mother of faith who is deeply devoted to her Christian beliefs.

He highlighted the significance of his visit, which was also an opportunity for him to join the First Lady in a short prayer, given that they were both observing a fast.

Obasa praised the First Lady's recent efforts, including a well-received breaking of fast for Christian and Muslim women, as well as her successful trip to Delta State, which was marked by a warm reception.
