Nigeria edges Iran 2-1 with goals from Simon and Adams

Nigeria's national football team, the Super Eagles, emerged victorious with a 2–1 win over Iran in a friendly match held on Friday at the Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya, Türkiye.
nThe team took an early lead when Moses Simon scored in the sixth minute, courtesy of a pass from Samuel Chukwueze that allowed him to finish from the centre of the box.
nThe Super Eagles extended their advantage to 2–0 in the 51st minute, with Akor Adams scoring from close range after being set up by Ademola Lookman.
nIran managed to reduce the deficit in the 67th minute, as Mehdi Taremi scored to revive hopes of a potential comeback.
nNigeria made several substitutions throughout the game, bringing in players such as Paul Onuachu, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Chidera Ejuke, and Frank Onyeka, while Iran also made changes in pursuit of an equalising goal.
nThe Super Eagles are scheduled to face the Jordan national football team in their next friendly match on Tuesday, March 31.
