ABUJA — The vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has assured party members that the NDC will overcome its current legal challenges, urging supporters to remain calm and focused ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Kwankwaso gave the assurance on Sunday in a post on his official X platform after paying a courtesy visit to the National Leader of the party, Senator Seriake Dickson, at his residence in Abuja.

According to him, the meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s unity, resilience and strategic preparedness for the next general elections.

“Today, I paid a courtesy visit to the National Leader of our party, the NDC, His Excellency Seriake Dickson, at his residence in Abuja.

“The engagement forms part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s unity, resilience and strategic readiness as we prepare for the 2027 general elections,” he wrote.

The former Kano State governor said the party remained committed to the rule of law and expressed confidence in the judicial process despite its current legal battle.

“As true democrats, we remain committed to the rule of law and have absolute confidence in the judicial process. No temporary setback can weaken the spirit of a movement built on hope, justice, equity, and the collective aspirations of the Nigerian people,” he stated.

Kwankwaso appealed to party members, supporters and Nigerians to remain steadfast, expressing optimism that the party would emerge stronger from the challenge.

“I urge all party members, supporters, and well-meaning Nigerians to stay calm, resolute, and focused on our shared mission. Together, we will rise above every challenge.

“Nigeria will be OK,” he added.

The visit comes amid the NDC’s ongoing legal efforts to challenge a recent Federal High Court ruling affecting the party, with its leadership insisting it remains committed to pursuing all available legal remedies.
