NDC launches online platform for member sign-ups

The Nigeria Democratic Congress has rolled out a digital membership registration portal, marking a significant move to expand its reach and bolster its organisational structure nationwide, with the launch ceremony taking place in Abuja under the leadership of National Leader Henry Seriake Dickson.

Key party officials in attendance included National Chairman Cleopas Moses, National Secretary Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, and various state chairmen and stakeholders, all of whom played a crucial role in the unveiling of the digital platform.

According to Dickson, the digital platform represents a major leap forward in modernising the party's operations and fostering broader political engagement among Nigerians, both domestically and internationally.

The online registration system will be supplemented by manual registration forms to ensure equal access, particularly for rural communities with limited digital capabilities, with printed forms to be distributed through state, local government, and ward officials.

Dickson expressed optimism that the party would meet its membership registration targets despite time constraints, citing the mobilisation of party officials at various levels to support the registration process.

The digital platform is designed to streamline the membership registration process, enabling Nigerians to register from anywhere in the country while ensuring accurate documentation and effective management of membership records, as highlighted by Dickson.

Dickson also extended his gratitude to Nigerians for their support and enthusiasm towards the party since its inception, noting that many citizens have expressed interest in joining the movement.

Despite being only weeks old, the party has already started garnering attention and support from across the country, with Dickson describing the NDC as a national political platform and a pan-Nigerian democratic movement.

"We are a national party and a pan-Nigerian democratic movement," Dickson stated, emphasizing the party's broad appeal and ambitions.

National Chairman Cleopas Moses also spoke at the event, highlighting the digital membership portal's potential to simplify the membership registration process and promote transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness within the party.

Through the party's official website, interested Nigerians can register for membership and obtain their membership cards via the digital platform, providing a convenient and accessible means of joining the party.
