National Youth Service Corps releases deployment notices for 2026 Batch A, Stream 2 participants

The National Youth Service Corps has made public the availability of call-up letters for individuals set to participate in the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II programme, as announced on its X account on Monday, stating "2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II deployment has been released" to confirm the development.

This latest update comes after the recent publication of a timetable outlining the schedule for the forthcoming orientation exercise, which will be conducted nationwide.

According to a statement signed by Caroline Embu, spokesperson for the NYSC, the orientation course is slated to begin across the country on April 22, with specific details provided regarding the reception and registration process.

The statement outlined that the orientation course will start with the reception and registration of prospective corps members on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, and will conclude at midnight on Friday, 24th April 2026.

The swearing-in ceremony for the prospective corps members has been scheduled to take place on April 24, marking a significant milestone in the orientation programme, which will run until May 12.

In a bid to ensure safety, the NYSC has cautioned prospective corps members to exercise caution while travelling to their respective camps, specifically advising against embarking on late-night journeys.

As part of the safety guidelines, prospective corps members have been advised to break their journeys once it is 6:00 pm and resume travel the following morning, as stated in the announcement.
