The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons has issued a directive to its Benue State Command to probe a disturbing incident of student abuse at Seat of Wisdom Secondary School in Aliade, Benue State, as reported by Favour Ulebor from Abuja.

This instruction was conveyed on Monday through the agency's official X account, where it was stated that the command would be collaborating with local authorities to ensure a prompt and suitable response to the situation.

A widely circulated video on social media platforms shows a group of at least five female students, all wearing uniforms, physically attacking and stripping another student near a mud-walled structure, prompting the agency to take action.

The disturbing footage captures the victim attempting to cover herself while her attackers laugh and record the incident, a scene that has been described by NAPTIP as a deeply troubling development.

NAPTIP has confirmed that the case has been referred to the Benue State Command for immediate attention and action, with the agency working in tandem with other relevant state agencies to address the matter.
