NAHCO shareholders to get N12.2bn dividend, bonus shares

Shareholders of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company, NAHCO Plc, will receive a combined cash dividend and bonus shares after the aviation handling and logistics group posted strong double-digit growth across key performance indicators for the 2025 financial year.

The board of directors has recommended a cash dividend of N12.18 billion for the 2025 business year, up from N11.58 billion paid for 2024. This translates to N6.25 per share, compared with N5.94 per share in the previous year.

In addition, the company proposed a bonus issue of one ordinary share of 50 kobo for every seven ordinary shares held, representing an increase of about 14.3 per cent in shareholders’ holdings.

Under the bonus arrangement, a shareholder with 1,000 shares will receive about 143 additional shares, increasing total holdings to 1,143 shares.

The qualification date for both the cash and scrip dividends is Friday, May 1, 2026, while payment of the cash dividend is expected on Friday, May 15, 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval at the company’s Annual General Meeting, AGM.

NAHCO’s audited results for the year ended December 31, 2025, showed that revenue rose by 21.8 per cent to N65.21 billion, from N53.54 billion in 2024.

Gross profit increased to N38.61 billion from N33.08 billion, while operating profit climbed by 25 per cent to N24.84 billion, from N19.84 billion in 2024.

Similarly, profit before tax rose by 30 per cent to N24.26 billion, from N18.70 billion, while profit after tax grew by 39.91 per cent to N17.99 billion, compared with N12.87 billion in 2024. Earnings per share also rose by 40 per cent to N9.24, from N6.60.

Chairman of NAHCO, Dr. Seinde Fadeni, said the company remained committed to delivering value to shareholders and other stakeholders through sustained growth and operational efficiency.

According to him, the company’s performance reflects its strong market position, disciplined cost management and commitment to profitability.
