NACCIMA, China seal pact to boost manufacturing investment in Nigeria

The Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China’s Linyi Wholesalers Federation and TTC Hydra Limited to strengthen bilateral trade and attract new Chinese investments into Nigeria’s manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.

The agreement, signed at the NACCIMA Infrastructure Conference (INFRACON 2026) in Abuja, provides a framework for trade cooperation, investment promotion and supply chain integration between businesses in both countries.

Under the arrangement, NACCIMA said its members would gain direct access to Chinese manufacturers and supply chains, while Nigerian exporters would receive support to penetrate the Chinese market. The partnership is also expected to encourage Chinese companies to establish manufacturing plants and other long-term investments in Nigeria.

The MoU builds on NACCIMA’s investment mission to Linyi City, Shandong Province, China, in April, where a Nigerian delegation led by the association’s Director-General, Sola Obadimu, held discussions with government officials and business leaders on expanding trade and investment relations.

The association disclosed that the Linyi Wholesalers Federation, which represents over 5,000 manufacturers and wholesale enterprises, had expressed interest in establishing manufacturing facilities, overseas warehouses and exhibition platforms in Nigeria—commitments now formalised through the MoU.

The Chinese federation will coordinate the supply of products spanning building materials, agricultural machinery, automotive spare parts, construction equipment, renewable energy technologies, household appliances and electronics, while TTC Hydra Limited will provide trade facilitation and regulatory support.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, NACCIMA President, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, representatives of the Chinese federation and TTC Hydra Limited reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the agreement.
