Musa-backed charity drive delivers essential provisions to disadvantaged children and at-risk individuals

Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa, has inspired a support initiative in his name, the General Christopher Gwabin Musa Support Initiative, which recently distributed food items to orphans and vulnerable persons to help alleviate the country's economic hardship.

The initiative's Convener, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, also known as Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi/Betara Biu, explained that the food distribution was motivated by the Minister of Defence's people-oriented leadership style, with General Musa serving as the Grand Patron of the group.

Danfulani emphasized the initiative's commitment to supporting efforts that improve citizens' welfare, particularly the less privileged, while promoting national unity and peaceful coexistence, aligning with the Minister of Defence's goals.

He praised General Musa's dedication to addressing insecurity across the country, noting that since his appointment, the Minister has worked to restore peace and stability, and urged Nigerians to support security agencies through prayers and cooperation.

Danfulani also called on citizens to back President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani's developmental programmes, emphasizing that national progress requires the support of all Nigerians.

Sheikh Bashir Adam Saleh Algoni, Deputy Chief Imam of Zangon Daura Jummaat Mosque, described General Musa's appointment as Minister of Defence as well-deserved, given his distinguished military career and contributions to national security.

According to the cleric, the food distribution programme demonstrated concern for ordinary Nigerians' welfare and a commitment to humanitarian service, and he urged Nigerians to continue praying for the armed forces and government leaders as they address the country's challenges.

Pastor Kola Kayode, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Afaka Chapter, commended the initiative for providing relief and hope to vulnerable members of society, highlighting the importance of national prayers and public support for government efforts.

Mr. Tanimu Magaji (JP), Head of Yamman Afaka, praised the intervention and reiterated his support for the Renewed Hope Agenda, urging citizens to remain united and supportive of policies designed to improve Nigerians' lives.

The event concluded with prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity, as community leaders, clerics, and beneficiaries called for sustained support for efforts to enhance security and drive development across the country.
