Muoka Cautions Against Self-Appointed Language Experts with a Hidden Agenda

The General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, Lazarus Muoka, has issued a warning to Christians to beware of deceptive end-time prophets, while also refuting claims that members of his church are impoverished, as reported by Olayinka Latona in Lagos.

Muoka delivered this message at the grand finale of the church’s annual Easter retreat crusade, themed “God’s Covenant of Peace and Blessing,” which took place at the Revival Ground International Headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos.

According to Muoka, God is faithful to His promises, emphasizing that He is holy and cannot lie, and therefore keeps to His covenant and fulfills His promises.

The cleric also criticized false prophets who rely on eloquence rather than transformative teachings, stressing that true Christianity is rooted in the undiluted word of God.

Muoka referenced a testimony shared during the crusade, stating that the individual in question was not helped by a false prophet’s eloquence, but instead found deliverance and a change for the better after coming to The Chosen.

He emphasized that true servants of God focus on salvation rather than theatrics, citing the examples of Jesus and Apostle Peter, who preached the undiluted word of God.

Muoka warned that some end-time preachers, despite being skilled in prayer, lack a genuine message of salvation, resulting in no one being truly born again in such gatherings.

He stated that in The Chosen, the word of God is magnified, and that the Bible teaches to seek first the kingdom of God and every other thing shall be added unto you.

Muoka addressed perceptions about his congregation, rejecting claims that members of the church are poor, and instead asserted that many are financially successful but choose to live modestly.

He claimed that The Chosen has some of the richest people who quietly contribute to society and the work of God in billions, challenging critics to match such levels of generosity.

Muoka argued that the perceived lack of flamboyance among his members is a deliberate reflection of their faith and values, rather than a sign of poverty.

He attributed public ridicule of the church’s testimonies to limited spiritual understanding among critics, and urged Christians to live upright lives.

Muoka stressed that true transformation is complete and not partial, stating that there is nothing like half-transformation, and that believers must reflect Christ in both private and public life.

Finally, Muoka expressed confidence that attendees of the crusade would experience visible transformation, saying that people will see the change in their lives, and it will be evident that it is the work of God.
