Minister predicts noticeable turnaround in electricity industry

According to Tegbe, President Bola Tinubu has made substantial investments in the power sector, which are already yielding positive outcomes, and he acknowledged that the sector still faces several challenges.

Despite the challenges, Tegbe noted that the Tinubu administration has made considerable efforts to address them, and he expressed confidence that the benefits would soon be appreciated by the public.

Tegbe stated that President Bola Tinubu has invested heavily in the power sector over the last three years, and he revealed plans to commission projects and ensure that Nigerians receive the service they deserve.

During his Senate confirmation, Tegbe had cautioned that he was not promising an immediate solution, but rather a gradual improvement, saying that while 24-hour power supply seven days a week was the ultimate goal, it would take time to achieve.

Tegbe reiterated his promise to Nigerians that visible improvements and infrastructure development would be noticeable, citing the improvement in power supply across Nigeria over the last four weeks as evidence of the President's efforts.

Within the four weeks since his appointment, Tegbe has engaged with key stakeholders in the power sector, who have made commitments to support the ministry's efforts.
