Military personnel free seven abducted individuals, neutralize two captors, detain four suspected ISWAP operatives

Coordinated operations conducted by troops across Borno, Yobe, Benue, and Plateau states have yielded significant results, including the rescue of seven kidnapped victims, the neutralization of two kidnappers, and the arrest of four suspected ISWAP terrorists and collaborators.

Troops also recovered a substantial amount of arms, ammunition, and other items during these operations, further bolstering their efforts to combat terrorism and insecurity in the region.

In the Agapalawa area of the Mandara Mountains in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno, troops of Operation HADIN KAI rescued two women and two minors who had escaped from an ISWAP enclave.

A woman and her child, believed to be family members of an ISWAP terrorist, also surrendered to troops after fleeing the Gobara enclave in the Sambisa Forest, marking a notable development in the campaign against ISWAP.

Troops, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, arrested four suspected ISWAP terrorists in Gwoza, Gujba, and Kukawa LGAs of Borno and Yobe, with one of the suspects confessing to spying on troops and supplying logistics to terrorists.
