Lawmaker Esosa Iyawe provides complimentary eye operations for residents of Oredo constituency

Hon. Engr. Esosa Iyawe, the representative for Oredo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has successfully completed his 2025 free medical eye treatment and surgery programme, which assisted more than 1,000 patients.

The programme drew a large crowd of residents to Prime Optical Eye Clinic in Benin City, all seeking to take advantage of the free medical care on offer.

During a visit to beneficiaries, including those recuperating from surgery, Hon. Iyawe explained that the programme is a key component of his commitment to giving back to the community and improving the wellbeing of his constituents.

According to Hon. Iyawe, the primary goal of the initiative is to enhance health, particularly for his Oredo constituents, as he believes that good vision is crucial for both productivity and quality of life.

A team of skilled doctors, specialized in correcting various eye defects, attended to patients, while also providing corrective lenses free of charge.

Dr. Mrs. Valentina Ideh, the Chief Medical Director and Consultant Ophthalmologist at Prime Optical Eye Clinic, praised Hon. Iyawe for bringing relief and joy to those in need through his programme.

Beneficiaries of the programme, including Mr. Chika Obidike and Mrs. Ajayi Susan, expressed their heartfelt gratitude, describing Hon. Iyawe as a "Godsent" for easing the suffering of the people.
