Law enforcement frees sibling and twin children of Adelabu from abductors

In a daring late-night operation on Saturday, June 6, 2026, Nigeria Police Force operatives successfully rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, at around 7:30 p.m.
nThe rescue effort resulted in the neutralization of two suspected kidnappers, who engaged in a gun duel with police operatives, and the recovery of two firearms from the gang.
nThe victims, who include the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, were initially abducted on June 3, 2026, at approximately 7:30 a.m. while en route to drop the children off at school.
nAccording to police sources, the kidnappers were forced into a confrontation with operatives due to sustained intelligence tracking and tactical pressure, ultimately leading to the successful rescue of the victims.
nSecurity operatives are currently conducting a search of nearby areas for members of the kidnapping syndicate who may have fled, with some believed to have escaped while suffering from gunshot wounds.
