Lagos APC Spokesman Dismisses Momodu's 2027 Speculation as Unfounded and Far-Fetched

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has dismissed recent comments made by Dele Momodu, which suggested that President Bola Tinubu would lose the 2027 presidential election if former Vice President Atiku Abubakar runs alongside either Peter Obi or Rotimi Amaechi, as unfounded and speculative.

According to Seye Oladejo, the Lagos APC Spokesman, such comments are premature and lack any basis in reality, with the party stating that there is no justification for such speculation or political gamble.

The APC has asserted that every credible indication and emerging political realignment points to an unstoppable victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the nation approaches the next national elections.

Many potential challengers, the party noted, are themselves grappling with crises of confidence within their own political environments, with some even facing rejection and resistance from within their own households and political bases.

This, the APC argued, makes the suggestion of an imminent electoral upset not only exaggerated but also politically unrealistic, given the serious internal challenges faced by these potential contenders.

President Tinubu's administration, meanwhile, remains focused on implementing bold reforms aimed at stabilizing the Nigerian economy, strengthening national security, and laying a foundation for sustainable growth and shared prosperity.

Oladajo emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda has been addressing long-standing structural challenges, setting Nigeria firmly on the path of economic recovery and national progress.

Any notion of derailing the current trajectory of progress and economic recovery, the APC stated, can only come from those who do not wish Nigeria well, as Nigerians are capable of recognizing genuine leadership and responsible governance.

The opposition, the party argued, needs to do more than just engage in grandstanding and media conjecture to earn the attention of the Nigerian electorate, who are already disheartened by the opposition's disarray and lack of clear direction.

Rather than speculating about elections that are still months away, Oladejo urged political actors and commentators to focus on contributing to national development and supporting policies that advance the welfare of Nigerians.

The APC in Lagos State, he stated, remains confident that the Nigerian people will continue to support President Tinubu as his administration consolidates the gains of ongoing reforms and deepens the progress being recorded across key sectors of the economy.
