Lagos APC primaries unfold without incident, demonstrating party's commitment to democratic principles, says Obasa

Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and an All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives aspirant for Agege Constituency, characterized the Saturday primaries as exceptionally peaceful, underscoring the party's robust internal democracy.

This assessment was made by Obasa after he cast his vote at his ward in Agege around 1pm, where he was met with a large crowd of supporters.

Obasa expressed his sentiments to journalists, stating that the exercise was a remarkable development and a positive step forward, adding that the party's progress is noteworthy.

He also commended the National Chairman of the APC and the party's leaders in Lagos State, acknowledging their efforts in facilitating the primaries.

Although the outcome from other wards was still pending, Obasa remained optimistic that the overall process would be peaceful, reflecting the party's commitment to democracy.

Regarding aspirants who withdrew from the contest during the exercise, Obasa viewed this as a positive move, promoting unity within the party.
