Katsina 2027: Minister Rallies Support to Deliver 1 Million Votes for Tinubu, Radda's Reelection Bid

Dr Muttaka Rabe-Darma, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, has pledged to secure over one million votes for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Dikko Radda in the 2027 elections, as announced by Mr Abubakar Tsanni on Sunday in Katsina.

Mr Tsanni, who serves as the Director-General of Grassroots Mobilisation for Tinubu/Dikko, made this announcement during an interactive session with youths and women's groups, where he outlined the group's strategy to bolster support for the candidates.

Rabe-Darma, as the founder and Chairman of GMTD, has established a robust support group aimed at mobilising grassroots backing for Tinubu and Radda, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the All Progressives Congress's success in the 2027 general elections.

According to Tsanni, the group's objective is to fortify its mobilisation efforts through strategic partnerships and interactions with various political groups across the state, thereby guaranteeing the re-election of Tinubu and Radda.

GMTD has reportedly set up a strong network of structures spanning from polling units to ward, local government, zonal, and state levels, with local politicians overseeing activities and coordinating efforts.

The group has already amassed 165 votes from each of the state's 6,651 polling units, totaling over 1.079 million votes, with each supporter possessing a voter card and awaiting the election period to cast their vote for Tinubu and Radda.

Tsanni expressed confidence that the established structures would yield the desired outcome for the APC candidates in Katsina, citing the group's extensive grassroots network as a key factor in their anticipated success.

APC chieftain Mr Danlami Kurfi, speaking on behalf of the minister, praised Rabe-Darma as a seasoned grassroots mobiliser, and asserted that the minister's commitment, coupled with the growing support for the APC nationwide, would ultimately lead to the party's victory in the 2027 elections.

Kurfi urged party members to disregard opposition statements and remain dedicated to the APC's success, as the party's triumph is contingent upon the unwavering support of its members.

Alhaji Ali Abubakar-Albaba, Chairman of the Katsina State House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs, assured the assembled political groups of continued support and inclusion before, during, and after the elections, emphasizing the importance of unity in achieving the party's objectives.

He urged members to remain united and work towards the party's success in the forthcoming polls, as a cohesive and dedicated membership is essential to securing victory for the APC.
