Kane recalled the experience, stating "I played alright to be honest", and acknowledged that he was honored by the president's invitation, noting "when the president invites you somewhere…".

The encounter left a lasting impression on Kane, who characterized it as "a pretty surreal experience just to meet him and obviously play golf with him", and admitted that he held his own on the course.

Kane was particularly taken by Trump's golfing prowess, remarking "His golf is pretty good, to be honest with you", and expressed admiration for the president's skills, saying "I hope I can play golf as good as him when I’m his age, that’s for sure".
