This endorsement is rooted in the group's belief that Ashiru possesses the necessary political structure and grassroots appeal to challenge the ruling APC in the state, making him the most suitable candidate among those vying for the party's ticket.

In a statement released on Sunday in Kaduna, Yusuf Gidan Hadi, Chairman of the forum, emphasized the importance of fielding a candidate with proven political strength and statewide acceptability, rather than opting for "experimental politicians".

According to Gidan Hadi, elections are won through a combination of experience, grassroots connection, political structure, and public acceptance, all of which Ashiru has consistently demonstrated throughout his career.

Ashiru's political experience spans multiple roles, including his tenure as a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly and the House of Representatives, as well as his three previous bids for the governorship of Kaduna State.

The forum highlighted Ashiru's existing political network across the 23 local government areas of the state, which includes loyal supporters and mobilizers who remain active and committed to his cause.

Ashiru's performance in the 2023 governorship election against Governor Uba Sani further bolstered his political credentials, with many observers believing he performed exceptionally well despite the outcome.
