Courtney Clarke, Jamaica's midfielder, has issued a warning that the Reggae Boyz are resolute in their pursuit to dethrone the Super Eagles of Nigeria as Unity Cup champions when the two teams clash in the final on Saturday in London.

The Reggae Boyz secured their spot in the final after defeating India 2-0 in a semi-final match on Wednesday at The Valley, setting the stage for a rematch against the Super Eagles.

This upcoming encounter marks the third consecutive time Nigeria and Jamaica will face off in the Unity Cup final, with the Super Eagles entering the game as the defending champions and favourites, following their decisive 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

Nigeria's place in the final was confirmed on Tuesday night, courtesy of debutant Femi Azeez's impressive two-goal performance against Zimbabwe at The Valley.

The Millwall winger made a dream debut for Éric Chelle's side, scoring within the first five minutes and adding a second goal in the second half, as the Super Eagles dominated the game from start to finish.

With the Nigerian team's confidence on the rise ahead of the final, Clarke acknowledged that Jamaica faces a daunting task against the three-time African champions, but remains adamant that the Reggae Boyz are prepared for the challenge.

According to Clarke, Jamaica's strategy is straightforward: "It's just more of a thing we just have to do what we do, keep our energy, stick to the plan, and let football do the rest, just to keep working and try to beat Nigeria," he said in the aftermath of Jamaica's win over India.
