This commitment is highlighted in a statement issued by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, on Sunday in Abuja, to mark International Women’s Day.

According to Abdullahi, the ADC acknowledges the vital role women play in nation-building, taking on immense responsibilities within their homes, communities, and workplaces throughout Nigeria.

The party's National Working Committee composition, Abdullahi noted, demonstrates a deliberate effort to prevent women from being relegated to the periphery of politics.

Abdullahi stated that the ADC is the only political party in Nigeria with a constitution that guarantees 40 per cent of all party positions, at every level, for women.

The party reaffirms its commitment to promoting women's inclusion in politics, with Abdullahi emphasizing the need for women to transition from the fringes to the center of leadership.

Nigerian women, Abdullahi observed, bear a disproportionate share of the nation's social and economic burdens, yet they remain significantly underrepresented in key national institutions.

As Nigeria celebrates International Women’s Day, the ADC is honoring all Nigerian women whose contributions and leadership are essential to the nation's well-being.

From their roles as mothers and community leaders to their work as entrepreneurs and educators, Nigerian women carry a disproportionate share of the nation's responsibilities.

Despite this, women remain significantly underrepresented in positions of leadership across various national institutions when crucial decisions about Nigeria's future are made.
