Iranian leader instructs return of online services following ceasefire.
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, has issued a directive to reinstate international internet access, following a period of suspension that began when the United States and Israel launched attacks against the country, as reported by local media on Monday.
nThis move, as announced by Iranian news agencies Tasnim and Fars, aims to revert internet access to its state prior to January, with the president's decree being communicated to the Ministry of Communications.
nInternet services were initially disrupted during widespread anti-government protests that reached their peak in early January, and were subsequently suspended once more on February 28, coinciding with the onset of the Middle East war.
nSince the suspension, the Iranian population has been limited to accessing only domestic platforms and websites, according to reports.
nThe decision to restore internet access, as reported by AFP, marks a significant development in the country's internet policies.
