Iran detains 30 individuals, among them a non-national, on suspicion of espionage
Iran's intelligence ministry made a significant announcement on Tuesday, revealing the arrest of 30 individuals suspected of espionage, among them a single foreign national, as the Middle East conflict entered its 11th day.
nThe detained foreigner, whose nationality remains undisclosed, was allegedly gathering intelligence on behalf of two Persian Gulf countries, with their efforts purportedly aligned with those of the American-Zionist enemy, according to the ministry's statement published on Mizan Online.
nThis individual was apprehended in northeastern Iran, although the exact timing of the arrest was not specified by the ministry in its statement.
nThe foreign national is accused of transmitting sensitive information to the enemy, including details about the location and movements of police and army forces, as well as the whereabouts of military installations.
