Iran accord set for Sunday signing, to unlock Strait of Hormuz – Trump

A long-awaited deal to bring an end to the war in the region is slated to be signed on Sunday, according to Trump, which would subsequently lead to the strategic Strait of Hormuz being opened to all.

Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Saturday to announce that "The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL," thereby setting the stage for a major breakthrough.

However, Trump's assertion was contradicted by Iran's foreign ministry, which earlier in the day stated that the deal would not be signed on Sunday, as reported by state media outlets.

In his post, Trump also revealed that the United States would take control of and destroy Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium, with the process to be carried out at an appropriate time.

According to Trump, "At the appropriate time, when all is calm, we will go in and get the Nuclear Dust, buried deep under the powerful sunken granite mountains, thanks to our beautiful B-2 Bombers and their brilliant pilots, and downblend and destroy it, whether in Iran, or the United States," he explained.

Trump expressed his desire to collaborate with Iran and the entire Middle East in the long term, stating "We look forward to working with Iran, and the entire Middle East, long into the future."

Trump's post also included a warning to Iran, urging the Islamic Republic to fully implement the plan or face severe consequences, with the US president writing "If it doesn’t, we have the ultimate alternative, hopefully never to be used again!"
