Insecurity: Bauchi gov inaugurates 2,187 forest guards

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has charged newly inducted Forest Guards graduands to respect human rights and professionalism while undergoing the obligations of their security journey in the state.

The governor gave this great advice to 2,187 Forest Guards personnel during their passing-out parade at the police training school in Yelwa, Bauchi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

The governor was ably represented by his Deputy, Rt Honourable Auwal Jatau.

In his welcome address, the governor welcomed all representatives of all security agencies in the state.

He equally pointed out the importance of the programme and urged the graduands to be good ambassadors in all their undertakings.

He pointed out that this initiative demonstrates peace-building, symbolises integrity, discipline and charged them to observe rules of engagement in all their undertakings to achieve the objectives of establishing the Forest Guard Corps.

He maintained that the government would not tolerate any unlawful act while urging them to promote environmental sustainability and security in the state.

Commander General of Bauchi State Vigilante and Youth Empowerment Agency, Umar Shayi, commended the governor’s efforts and his passion for developing local security outfits so that Bauchi State would be safe in all perspectives.

Shayi urged the graduands to remain committed and dedicated in discharging their duties.
