In a post on X, Asherkin addressed the backlash, stating that some people may find it difficult to believe that a young adult from Ogun State, who appears to be attractive, could be working in a canteen, which may have contributed to the skepticism surrounding the video's authenticity.

The video in question shows Asherkin interacting with a 21-year-old woman named Chiamaka Clare, whom he met while she was working at a canteen in Ogun State, and features their conversations and subsequent trip to Lagos and South Africa.

After finishing her shift, Asherkin spoke with Clare and invited her to Lagos for a post-Valentine's outing, which she accepted after obtaining permission from her mother, as seen in the video.

The footage also captures their trip to Lagos, where Clare was taken shopping and out to dinner, as well as their surprise trip to South Africa, where they enjoyed activities such as nightlife and a helicopter ride.

However, the video's authenticity was soon questioned by social media users, who claimed that the interaction between Asherkin and Clare appeared to be scripted and pointed out inconsistencies in Clare's social media presence.

Asherkin responded to these claims, insisting that the encounter was genuine and explaining that the video was recorded over several days, rather than in a single shoot, which may have contributed to the confusion about the timeline of events.

He also noted that Clare has relatives in Lagos, which made the trip between the two locations not unusual, and emphasized that the video was a genuine representation of their interaction.

Asherkin, known for his videos featuring him surprising strangers with gifts and experiences, stated that criticism would not deter him from producing such content, which has helped him build a large online following.
