AWKA — The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has said his administration is anchored on the principles of inclusivity and collective progress, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.

Soludo made the remark at the Government House in Awka when he joined members of the Muslim community in the state to break their Ramadan fast.

The gathering brought together Muslim leaders and faithful, alongside top government officials, in what observers described as a warm atmosphere of fellowship.

Addressing the gathering, the governor described Anambra as one family and reiterated his administration’s commitment to building a livable and prosperous homeland for all residents.

He noted that the values associated with Ramadan, including compassion, charity and self-discipline, are universal virtues that should guide both governance and daily living.

Soludo also commended the Muslim community in the state for their peaceful coexistence and contributions to the social and economic development of Anambra, assuring them of his government’s commitment to the security and well-being of every resident.

In his remarks, the Secretary-General of the Anambra State Muslim Council, Danni Onyeabo Ejoh, congratulated the governor on his recent electoral victory, describing his administration as eventful, memorable, challenging and result-driven.

He added that the Iftar gathering had further strengthened the cordial relationship between the state government and the Muslim community.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Fulani Community in the state, Gidado Saddiki, expressed appreciation to the governor for the gesture, describing it as historic and heartwarming.

According to him, the act of fellowship demonstrated true leadership and reinforced the sense of belonging of the Muslim and Fulani communities in the state.

The event featured prayers for the peace and development of Anambra State and Nigeria, after which the governor joined the Muslim faithful to observe the Iftar, breaking the day’s fast with water before sharing a meal with them.
