In a bid to bolster grassroots support ahead of the 2027 general elections, Ifeatu Soludo, the Anambra State Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, recently met with local government women coordinators and their deputies across the state's 21 local government areas.

This gathering was part of a broader effort to strengthen the movement's foundation, with Soludo underscoring the need for unwavering commitment and strategic coordination, given the time-sensitive nature of the movement's objectives.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Soludo, who is the daughter of the Anambra State Governor, highlighted the pivotal role women play in achieving the movement's goals, describing them as central to its success.

According to the statement, Soludo's meeting with the women took place on Monday, during which she praised their passion and dedication to the movement's ideals, expressing her admiration for their energy and commitment.

The statement quoted Soludo as saying, "I had an engaging and productive session yesterday with the City Boy Local Government Women Coordinators and their deputies across the 21 LGAs of Anambra State.

She further emphasized the importance of meeting the movement's deadlines, stating, "During our conversation, I explained to them that the agenda at hand is one with a deadline, and we must show strong commitment to achieving nothing short of excellence.

Soludo also noted that women are the backbone of the mission, saying, "Women are the backbone of this mission, and I am deeply inspired by the passion, dedication, and energy demonstrated by this remarkable group.

The City Boy Movement, according to Soludo, is built on strategic progressivism, and she expressed optimism about the role women will play in advancing its objectives, stating, "I am proud to lead Anambra women on this important journey.

Soludo concluded by saying, "History awaits, and it is indeed City Boy season," conveying her enthusiasm for the movement's prospects.

On February 26, it was reported that Ifeatu Soludo, the Anambra State Governor's daughter, had been appointed as the state women's leader of President Bola Tinubu's political support group, the City Boy Movement.

The Anambra State Media Director of the City Boy Movement, Adaora, confirmed the appointment in a statement, while a media aide to the Anambra State Governor, Daniel Ezeigwe, also verified the development, noting that Soludo would oversee the women's arm of the group across the state.
