Images: Governors Makinde and Fayemi, ex-governor Oyinlola pay visit to Obasanjo at his Abeokuta residence

At his residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State, former President Olusegun Obasanjo hosted a gathering of notable figures on Sunday, including Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, as well as former governors Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun.
nThe meeting's focal points were revealed by Governor Makinde in a post on X, where he disclosed that the conversations revolved around pivotal national matters in anticipation of the 2027 general elections.
nMakinde recounted the visit, stating, “Earlier today, we visited Baba, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, in Abeokuta,” and elaborated that the discussions encompassed significant national issues in light of the impending general election.
nThe governor, who is also the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, expressed gratitude towards Obasanjo, acknowledging, “We appreciate Baba for his wise counsel at this crucial time in our nation’s history.”
