Adesua Etomi-Wellington, the wife of renowned Nigerian singer, politician, and preacher Banky W, has offered a glimpse into their marriage, revealing that their love has continued to flourish nearly a decade after they first met.

In a recent interview with Teju Babyface and her husband, Mrs Wellington shared that her husband was not initially her ideal partner due to his multiple career paths, but she ultimately accepted him as her husband, attributing their relationship to divine direction.

She recalled saying, “Before I met my husband, I told God I didn’t want to marry a musician, a pastor or a politician, but God gave me all three,” highlighting the unexpected nature of their union.

Banky W, on the other hand, disclosed that Adesua initially rejected him several times before eventually acknowledging him as her husband, stating that he had known she was his wife for about a year and a half, but waited for her to reach the same realization.

He recounted the moment Adesua called him on the phone and said, “Banky, you know you’re my husband, right?” which ultimately strengthened his conviction and paved the way for their marriage.

The couple exchanged vows in 2017 and have since been blessed with two children, marking a new chapter in their journey together.
