Hezekiah to Soludo: Stop demolishing people’s shops

OWERRI – The Founder of Living Christ Mission Incorporated, Most Rev. Daddy Hezekiah, has appealed to the Governor of Anambra State Government, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, to halt the demolition of traders’ shops in parts of the state.

Hezekiah made the appeal while speaking at his ancestral home in Umugara, Nkwerre, Imo State, saying the exercise was worsening the economic hardship faced by many residents.

He expressed concern over the demolition of shops in Onitsha and surrounding areas, describing the development as harmful to livelihoods and local businesses.

The cleric also called on federal authorities to take stronger action in addressing insecurity in the country, saying current efforts have not been sufficient.

He argued that insecurity continues to affect national development and urged government to adopt more technology-driven and intelligence-based approaches in tackling banditry, kidnapping, and related crimes.

He further said that modern security tools such as surveillance systems and tracking technologies should be more effectively deployed to combat criminal activities.

Hezekiah commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for road infrastructure development in Nkwerre Local Government Area, particularly the Nkwerre–Umudi road project.
