In a significant move, Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has given his approval for the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council, a decision aimed at creating a conducive environment for council members who wish to participate in the upcoming general elections.

This development was made public through a press statement issued on Monday, which was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Bukar Tijani.

According to Dr Tijani, Governor Zulum has instructed all commissioners to transfer the responsibilities of their respective ministries to the permanent secretaries by Friday, April 3, 2026, at the latest.

Professor Zulum took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing commissioners, acknowledging their tireless efforts, unwavering commitment, and invaluable contributions to the development and well-being of the people of Borno State.
