Gen. Elaye Slaboh Receives Phase 1 Camp Leaders After Attending Gov. Douye Diri’s Defection to the A

The National Chairman of the Third Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Gen. Elaye ThankGod Dollar Slaboh, on Monday, November 3, 2025, received the Phase 1 Camp Leaders of the Programme, who paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Despite his tight schedule—having earlier attended the official defection ceremony of the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex, Yenagoa, on the directive of the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro—Gen. Slaboh made out time to personally welcome the delegation.

The visiting team, led by the National Chairman of Phase 1, Gen. Aroni, was accompanied by other national executives and camp leaders. The meeting provided a platform for both leadership structures to deliberate on key issues affecting the Amnesty Programme and the general development of the Niger Delta region.

For some time, Phases 2 and 3 of the Programme have worked closely together. However, with this renewed collaboration between Phases 1 and 3, there is now a stronger, united front among the various leadership strata of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, aimed at advancing the welfare and collective interest of their delegates.

In his remarks, Gen. Elaye Slaboh, who also serves as Section Coordinator of Tantita Security Services and Bayelsa State Coordinator of the High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) Door-to-Door Campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 Agenda, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Gen. Aroni and his team for their visit. He stressed the importance of unity across the phases, stating that “we can only get it right by speaking with one voice.”

Gen. Slaboh further assured his senior colleague of his unwavering partnership and commitment to ensuring that the core objectives of the Presidential Amnesty Programme are achieved for the lasting peace, stability, and progress of the Niger Delta region.
