Delta State Chairman of the Third Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Gen. Bush Prince, has lauded the National Chairman of the Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum (Phase 3), Gen. Elaye Slaboh, for his pragmatic and forward-thinking leadership style.
In a phone interview with RealNaijaGist, Gen. Bush Prince described Gen. Slaboh as a “God-sent leader” to the authentic stakeholders of the Third Phase. He urged fellow ex-agitators to remain focused, united, and loyal to Gen. Slaboh, whom he described as “the one and only legitimate National Chairman” of the forum.
Dismisses Claims of Factional Leadership
Addressing recent controversies, Gen. Bush Prince dismissed rumours of a factional leadership within PAP Phase 3, describing them as “laughable and baseless.” He particularly criticized Preye Ekpebide, whom he accused of falsely presenting himself as a parallel chairman.
“Let me use this opportunity to clear the air regarding the rumours about a so-called factional leadership allegedly headed by Preye Ekpebide. For the record, Preye was appointed by our duly elected National Chairman, Gen. Elaye Slaboh, to serve as a Special Adviser. It is disgraceful to now see him parade himself as a chairman. He and his sponsors should abandon this power-hungry behavior and first learn the principles of leadership through service,” Bush Prince stated.
Reaffirms Loyalty to Gen. Slaboh
Reiterating his support, Gen. Bush Prince affirmed that Gen. Elaye Slaboh remains the only recognized and duly elected National Chairman of PAP Phase 3.
“Elaye Slaboh is the first National Chairman elected by the authentic leaders of the Third Phase. There is absolutely no reason to remove him. Anyone dreaming of unseating him should think again. Our pioneer chairman, Gen. Julius Joseph, led for over 12 years, and during that time, Preye Ekpebide served peacefully as Delta State Chairman. The same level of respect should now be extended to Gen. Slaboh and his executive team,” he declared.
Calls for Peace and Unity
In conclusion, Gen. Bush Prince called on all stakeholders and ex-agitators under the Third Phase to shun distractions and uphold the principles of unity and loyalty as the leadership under Gen. Slaboh continues to deliver on its mandate.
“This is not the time for disunity or political games. We must stand firm behind the leadership of Gen. Elaye Slaboh as we chart a progressive path forward,” he said.
