Gbenga Hashim hails diplomatic accord between United States and Iran

Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, the Presidential Candidate of the Accord Party and Co-Chairman of the Movement for Democratic Renewal, has expressed his approval of the recent agreement between the United States and Iran, aimed at bringing an end to hostilities and restoring stability in the Middle East.

During his brief visit to Dakar, Senegal, Dr. Hashim praised the governments and international partners that played a crucial role in creating a conducive environment for dialogue and peaceful resolution of tensions through their diplomatic efforts.

Dr. Hashim stated, "I welcome the agreement between the United States and Iran aimed at ending the conflict and restoring stability to the Middle East," and also commended the key players involved in the process.

He specifically acknowledged the efforts of President Donald Trump, the Governments of Iran, Qatar, and Pakistan, as well as other international partners, whose collective efforts helped pave the way for peace.

As a global energy executive with extensive experience in international affairs and a recipient of the prestigious Lord Max Berlof Prize for Global Affairs in 2009, Dr. Hashim emphasized the value of diplomacy in resolving complex international disputes, particularly during times of increasing global uncertainty.

According to Dr. Hashim, the stability of the Middle East has far-reaching implications that extend beyond the region, affecting global security, energy markets, international trade, investment flows, and economic growth.
