Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro, a far-right figure currently behind bars, was admitted to intensive care on Friday to receive treatment for bronchopneumonia, according to a statement from his medical team.
nHis hospitalization came after he exhibited symptoms such as chills and vomiting, prompting his relocation to a medical facility earlier on Friday, as revealed by his son Flavio Bolsonaro.
nBolsonaro's imprisonment stems from his role in attempting to overturn the outcome of the 2022 presidential election, for which he was sentenced to prison, marking a significant turn in his political career.
