The final farewell to late Nollywood actor Alexx Ikenna Ekubo-Okwaraeke began on Wednesday, as a Service of Songs was held in his honor in Lagos State, bringing together a multitude of mourners from the entertainment world, including family, friends, and colleagues.

This solemn gathering took place at the Monarch Event Centre, where a sea of white-clad guests convened to pay tribute to the actor, who had succumbed to a long battle with metastatic kidney cancer, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire.

Notable figures in attendance included actress and producer Funke Akindele, TV personality Frank Edoho, and musician Chike, all of whom came to celebrate the life of the late actor.

Actor IK Ogbonna, a close friend of the deceased, was also spotted at the venue, dressed in a white outfit and matching cap, as he coordinated activities and received guests with a mix of sadness and warmth.

The venue itself was transformed into a beautiful tribute, with photographs of the late actor, elegant white floral arrangements, and tasteful seating that reflected the somber mood of the occasion.

Fashion designer Yomi Casual and his wife were among the many celebrities who attended the Service of Songs, which also drew the likes of Ini Edo, Stan Nze and his wife Blessing Obasi, and Segun Arinze.
