Flick vows Barcelona position will be his final managerial role

On the eve of the Champions League last 16 match against Newcastle, Flick stated that while he is enjoying his time with the Spanish champions, the decision to extend his stay is not imminent, citing the importance of the upcoming game and the need to discuss the matter with his family first.

Flick emphasized his happiness at Barcelona, stating that he has no intention of leaving the club, and that his current role will be his last in football, with the coach having led the team to a domestic treble and the Champions League semi-finals last season.

Looking ahead to the match against Newcastle, Flick acknowledged that it will be a challenging game, describing the opposing team as physical, aggressive, and fast in transition, and emphasizing the need for his team to play a perfect game.

Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi expressed his belief that the team can deliver a much improved performance at home, citing the intensity of Newcastle's play in the first leg and the need for his team to find fluidity in attack.
