ABUJA — The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has ordered a full investigation into a fire that affected part of the Federal Secretariat Complex, Phase II, in Abuja.

The blaze, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, damaged the fourth floor of Block C, home to the National Board for Technology Incubation.

Walson-Jack visited the site for an on-the-spot assessment, emphasizing that the probe will determine the cause of the fire and evaluate the building’s structural condition to prevent future incidents.

She commended emergency responders, noting that the prompt action of the Federal Fire Service and other agencies prevented the fire from spreading to other sections.

Officials confirmed that all workers in the affected area were safely evacuated and no casualties were recorded. Safety measures have been implemented around the damaged section as experts assess the extent of the property damage.
