Exalt the Almighty exclusively, a message by Funmi Komolafe

Genesis 1 vs. 27 (KJV): “ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them”.

n

We all know that the Almighty God created the first man and woman.

n

He created them and provided for them, food in the form of vegetables and animals.

n

Isn’t that wonderful? He met their needs before they asked.

n

Then God took an action and gave a directive as to what they should do.

n

Verse 28 gives us that information. It states: “ And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”.

n

Brethren, do we really understand what the Lord means by “ replenish the earth”? Many of us understand it to mean, “ Go and have more children”. Produce more human beings.

n

The Lord knew that at a time, Adam and Eve would no more be on earth and other human beings would have to be in place to subdue the earth and “ have dominion over the the fish and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”

n

That is the Almighty God. The Holy Bible says in Isaiah 46 vs.9&10: “ Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none like me.

n

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”

n

Brethren, the creation of Man is exclusive to God and no other.

n

Recently, a number of couples had the yoke of barrenness broken in their marriage.

n

Many after years of waiting gave birth to multiple babies and the social media was agog with celebration.

n

Some had babies through the Intro Vitro Fertilization ( IVF), others through natural conception.

n

It is therefore common to hear people say, “ if she gave birth after IVF, why is that a testimony?”.

n

To answer that question we need to ask, if doctors know it all, why do doctors die? Why do their relations die?

n

Why couldn’t the doctor add more years to the wife of his beloved wife while she was at the point of death?

n

Brethren, science is good but the Bible tells us in Daniel 1 vs. 17 ( NIV) : “ To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.”

n

Beloved, God gave man knowledge and it is that knowledge that is now called science in some cases.

n

To many that have broken through the bondage of barrenness, it is right to congratulate them but we must never downplay the factor of God even in scientific breakthrough.

n

The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital ( LUTH) has as its motto: “ We care, God heals”.

n

If science answers all the questions, why would LUTH have its motto as “ we care God heals”?

n

Brethren, in the last month or thereabout families have been blessed with multiple babies in fulfillment of the prophesy by the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye who said not too long ago that God said he would visit families with multiple babies.

n

Beloved, on this page, we once published the story of a doctor who treated a woman of over 50 years using the IVF procedure and she delivered baby girl after years of waiting.

n

The same woman told the story of how she had visited many doctors that treated her without success.

n

The doctor, with whom she recorded a success, attributed it to God. He said, he didn’t do anything different. God just chose to answer the woman through him.

n

Beloved, unless the Almighty God, Jehovah Elohim breathes life into the mating of husband and wife, HE also alone breathes life into babies born through IVF.

n

Doctors would testify that it is not all cases of successful IVF that eventually become babies . Some are aborted.

n

This isn’t knew, it happens but no woman wants to have such an unpleasant experience.

n

Exodus 23 vs. 26 ( KJV): “ There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill”.

n

This simply tells us that it is not everyone that gets pregnant that becomes a mother.

n

Therefore irrespective of the scientific discovery, we still need the hand of God to bring healing and nurture pregnancy from conception to delivery.

n

I’ll share the story of a lady that went through IVF three times. Three times she lost the babies including a set of twins but while going through these, she didn’t stop presenting her case before the LORD.

n

She was loading her cloud with prayers. So, when the time came for God to put an end to the evil spirit of abortion and miscarriage, the Lord rose up for her and she gave birth to a baby boy after almost 15 years of waiting.

n

Brethren, medical procedure may be unsuccessful if God does not breath life into it.

n

Or how do we explain that the scanning machine sees two babies in a woman and she delivers three.

n

Beloved, in a marriage, just as the woman bears the burden of barrenness, so does the man. However, that of a woman is more visible because she tends to be emotional about it and has a feeling of “ time is not on my side”.

n

But the Almighty God is not time bound. He can bring any yoke to an end at anytime he chooses . Believe me, God knows the best time to bless a couple with a child or whatever they desire.

n

Brethren, no challenge is too big for God to handle but you have to present your case and remain steadfast in prayer.

n

King David wrote in Psalms 20 vs. 1-3: “ The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

n

Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

n

Remember all thy offerings and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah”.

n

Brethren offerings and burnt sacrifice in this context means the days of prayers and fasting.

n

All of these open ways for answers to prayers.

n

Beloved, lets appreciate science but give glory to God.

n

Our Lord Jesus said in John 15 vs. 5: “ I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”.

n

Beloved, God is able to replace those years of tears, loneliness and mockery with multiple blessings that would surprise even the testifier.

Let’s give God glory always.
